Dry Needling

What is Dry Needling

A form of therapy utilizing very fine needles to insert into trigger points (knots), tendons, ligaments, or near nerves to stimulate a natural healing process for neuromusculoskeletal conditions. It is typically a very localized treatment and we use electrical stimulation for improved blood circulation.

Is Dry Needling Safe

Absolutely! Our therapist takes a very safe approach to dry needling. We are trying to stimulate blood circulation so there may be minor bleeding and bruising. Mild soreness after is completely normal 24-48 hours following treatment. The body is healing itself.

How Does It Work

Dry needling utilizes small needles to stimulate healing of target tissues. The needles are in position for 10-30 minutes, applying a unidirectional wind, and electrical stimulation. Visualize a fork spinning around in your bowl of spaghetti. The needle has a tissue grab and is actively realigning the collagen fibers. Book your appointment today. The first session is FREE!
